Are you ready a huge free agency scoop? Me too, but you won't find it here. Instead, here are some new Eagles jerseys numbers, as confirmed by the team.
New Eagles cornerback Byron Maxwell will wear No. 31. He wore number No. 41 with the Seattle Seahawks. The last Eagles player to wear this number was... Curtis Marsh.
Linebacker Kiko Alonso will be wearing No. 50. He wore the same number with the Buffalo Bills. The last player to wear No. 50 for the Eagles was... Casey Matthews, who is currently a free agent.
Veteran linebacker Brad Jones will wear No. 52. That number was last worn by Jason Phillips.
Lastly, newly acquired quarterback Sam Bradford will be wearing No. 7 (and not No. 0). Bradford wore No. 8 with the Rams in St. Louis but that number currently belongs to Eagles punter Donnie Jones. And no one can merely taken Donnie Jones' number away from him. The last Eagles player to wear No. 7? It actually wasn't Michael Vick, though he's the last quarterback to wear it. Eagles kicker Cody Parkey wore the No. 7 jersey for a brief stint after the team traded for him last summer (PROOF). Before Vick, it was Jeff Garcia in 2006.
We'll have more important jersey number updates like this later in the offseason. You won't want to miss out so stay tuned.
