In a Thursday morning appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, ESPN Insider Adam Schefter revealed that the Philadelphia Eagles are one of several teams who might be interested in Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel.
.@AdamSchefter says Rams, 'Boys, 49ers have looked hard at Manziel at some point. And Chip Kelly. "Somebody's gonna roll the dice on him."

Manziel was recently demoted to being the team's third string quarterback despite being named the starter just a few weeks ago. The Browns apparently didn't like how Manziel spent Cleveland's bye week partying instead of honing his craft. If Manziel has fallen out of favor, the Browns could look to move on from him in the offseason.
Why this rumor makes sense
But would the Eagles actually have some interest in Manziel? Maybe. We do know that Philadelphia's quarterback situation beyond this season is unclear. The injury-prone Sam Bradford is a free agent after this season. Mark Sanchez is under contract but he's clearly just a backup at most. The Eagles don't have a young prospect they're developing. Manziel could be worth taking a flyer on since their other options aren't so great.
Why this rumor doesn't make sense
On the other hand, this rumor doesn't make very much sense at all. Sure, Chip Kelly recruited Manziel to Oregon, but the head coach had an opportunity to select Manziel in the 2014 NFL Draft and passed on him. Manziel clearly doesn't seem to fit Kelly's culture when he prioritizes partying over football.
And then there's the possibility Kelly isn't even the coach next year if the rest of this Eagles season turns out ugly. There's no telling what the next coach would want.
Likelihood: 2/10
I'd be shocked to see Manziel end up in Philadelphia. The only way I could see it is if he was taken on as a low-cost flyer.
