Let's talk about this guy here. If you want real stats and talk from NFL analysts about how good Boykin is, go here: Talk about Boykin & More Boykin talk. There's no doubt that Brandon Boykin is a beast, remember this:

No matter which poor WR's soul he jizzes on, Billy Davis seems to want him as purely a slot CB but for how much longer will this go on? Boykin wants his shot to play on the outside, but will he ever get that full time gig with us? Here's how I see things playing out...maybe:

Scenario 1 - With the addition of Cary Williams, Fletcher, & Nolan Carrol, Boykin will start the 2014 season as the primary nickleback/slot corner. After this season Cary Williams will be owed a lot of money and Fletcher will most likely not have played his way to keeping a starting gig so with Williams being cut (even though he's good) and Fletcher probably being cut or relegated to a back up CB role, it could be Carrol and Boykin for the starting outside CB positions in 2015 and Boykin gets paid. Boykin will most likely get paid based on his progress/playmaking ability thus far as an impact player in the slot position since we don't know how he'll play as a true outside corner, he can't get paid like a Patrick Peterson/Richard Sherman as those guys are proven commodities. And we have Watkins/Fletcher/FA to come in and play the slot CB role.

Scenario 2 - Boykin stays as a slot CB and continues his playmaking ability for the Eagles until retirement. We pay him mid-way through this season to a 4-5 year multi-million dollar deal and he stays content with being a slot CB/ back up outside CB and he makes his nest here as an Eagle for the next 1,000 years.

Scenario 3 - Boykin gets disgruntled with not being given an opportunity and wants to test FA next season. We lose Boykin and he becomes a stud CB elsewhere. :(

What do you guys think will happen? I really don't want this guy going anywhere, he seems like a perfect scheme fit, character fit, and he's a playmaker. Why not give him a shot on the outside to start? Thoughts?
