Who are you guys looking at in College Football?

Hey guys, jimmyrustler here with my second fanpost ever. Seeing as how my last post was a roaring, well-timed success, and I was possessed by a question recently, I decided to ask your opinion.

College ball starts in a little under two weeks now; admittedly I'm not a huge college sports guy but I really want to get into college football at least. It would be really nice to have a much better sense of some of the players coming into NFL draft season, one of my favorite times of the year (Sorry Chip). With that said, I was wondering who are some of the players that seemed poised to come out into the 2015 draft that you would love to see the Birds get?

See, I don't really have a good sense of individual players, especially the designation between who's looking to the draft and who isn't, but I do have a general idea of what positions I'd like the Eagles to address going forward:

LB: Probably the most important position on our D going forward. It doesn't matter really what anyone says, as long as you run a 3-4, your linebackers are always going to be the key to your defense (just look at Andy's Chiefs for a textbook example). It doesn't really help that we have large question marks in the form of Cole and Demeco going forward. Kendricks is due for an extension (especially if he plays well), nobody knows what we're going to do with Brandon Graham, and Marcus Smith II hasn't even played a snap in the regular season yet...yeah, we're going to need to draft some LBs and do it soon.

CB: This shouldn't surprise anyone. All of our corners have some question marks going forward: Cary's contract, Fletcher and the new league emphasis on refs calling DBs for interference, Boyking playing outside and how much you pay him, Carroll missing some time in camp, Watkins being a greenhorn, the list goes on. I won't be surprised if the Birds look to add a CB in free agency or draft one and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one...

S: Next Dawkins.

...What? Okay fine, I like Jenkins so far and Wolff has potential, but Nate Allen may not be with the team next year and Ed Reynolds hasn't really stood out. So while safety may not be a glaring need like it was last season, it would be nice to see some great to superstar safety play in midnight/kelly green again. Just sayin'.

OL: I love having a top-3 OL in football, it's a safe bet to say that Chip and Stoutland do too. While Peters is still a boss, Mathis is still the man (even with a contract dispute), and Kelce and Lane should be around for years to come, we can still spend some resources here. While the backup OL has done a good job in camp and against the Bears, it never hurts to have more quality lineman on either side of the ball. Plus, Herremans, Peters, and Mathis are all over 30 and Barbre is 29. It never hurts to build for the future, especially for a position that is critical to our success on offense.

Those are the major positions I'd like to see addressed in the draft. There are a few positions that I would like to see addressed to a lesser extent:

WR: Yeah, yeah, Huff and our Lord and Savior, I know. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see another stud WR on the team. Especially since Mac is on a one-year deal and our depth is shaky at best. Sproles should alleviate some of that concern, but still, it'd be nice to have even more mismatches including Sproles. As a bonus, Cooper's deal is easy to get out of in 2016 if I'm remembering that right, so we really don't have that much money invested at receiver either. We'll see how we do this year, and I'm far from pessimistic, but it's a nice thought to have Matthews and another stud to be the next Marshall-Jeffrey combo. A man can dream...

RB: Shady is the best, no one denies this. But even he admits he can't do all the running himself. Something tells me that we'll always be seeing RBs come in and out of camp as long as Chip is here, which isn't really a bad thing, especially with RBs apparently dropping like flies in camp (Polk, Tucker, Fluellen) I know none of those injuries is severe, but still, Damaris Johnson is taking RB reps now....I rest my case.

K: You should really never draft a kicker until late, but we signed Murderleg as a UDFA and he's not even going to sniff at beating out Henery...you win this round Noodle-Leg, but don't think I somehow magically think you're Gostowski or Prater all of a sudden. I hope we get legit kicker competition at some point soon.

Soooo, yeah. I'm sorry If I got a little wordy but those are the positions I'm going to be looking a little more closely at as I try to get into that College stuff. Who are some guys at those positions that you think I should look at or that you hope end up on the Eagles next season? Or, did I overlook a position that you think I shouldn't have? Any comments at all would be very greatly appreciated, and I hope you enjoyed the read!
