Last year, I went to every training camp dressed to the nines in my favorite Eagles gear, studying players and looking forward to the new season. I predicted that Nick Foles would be the better starting QB for us in July, as well as my 10-6 prediction that I was way too proud of. This summer I had to exit early from the northeast, making it impossible for me to watch my Birds in person. Apparently, instead of playing football, we are choosing to get in meaningless tussles that are everywhere in sports media. Did anyone watch more than just the fights out of context? Is there something I am missing?
I just firmly believe in the idea of practicing what you preach. We threw DeSean out because of his bad attitude and the "impact" paying a high amount of money to a bad character guy would have on the team. Why would Coach Kelly allow these skirmishes to happen? Even if they aren't a big deal, doesn't this send out a bad message to sports media as a whole?
