I figured it's about that time of the offseason when there's nothing better going on so we should all get to know each other better. That sounds fun, right?
So I thought it would be cool for everyone to share where their BGN usernames come from. Is there a story behind it or was it just a random choice?

I'll start us off. When I first joined BGN I signed up under the name "PhiladelphiaEagles". Original, right? I didn't really plan it on purpose. I couldn't think of a name so I typed it in just to see if it would register. I didn't expect it to, but it did, so I stuck with it. It became confusing/entertaining over the years because people thought I might actually be working for the Eagles (which wasn't my intent.) Some even thought I was actually secretly Dave Spadaro... but alas, I am not. And the funny thing about that is Spadaro actually contributes a weekly column here at BGN now in his 'From The Eagles' series.
Anyway, I switched 'PhiladelphiaEagles' to just my first and middle name (Brandon Lee) for a bit and then later added my last name to make it complete: Brandon Lee Gowton (aka BLG).
Speaking of changes, SB Nation recently added a feature where you can actually change your username by yourself. The catch is you can only do it once. Is anyone in need of a username change? If so, click here to learn how to do it.
Now would also be a good time to introduce yourself to the community if you're just a lurker here or you don't comment very often. Sign up for an account and tell us more about yourself!
