Expect Eagles defense to be better - Inquirer
What has Eagles fans most excited is the offense. How can Kelly turn his fast-moving scoring machine into the best attack in the NFL? Can LeSean McCoy win another rushing title? Can Nick Foles get any better than he was a year ago? It's the other side of the ball that makes people nervous. The Eagles defense couldn't stop anybody at the beginning of last season, couldn't stop the Minnesota Vikings with Matt Cassel at quarterback near the end of the season, and couldn't stop the New Orleans Saints on the final drive of a first-round playoff loss at Lincoln Financial Field.
Travis Longing to Make the Team - Iggles Blitz
One player who generated some buzz in the OTAs is OLB Travis Long. I’ll go ahead and make the obligatory "it’s not real football" disclaimer just so we can get that out of the way. No one is trying to put Long in the Hall of Fame. He’s just a young player that looked better this spring than he did last summer.
Week 1 Preview: Opener Vs. Jaguars - PE.com
The Eagles' 2014 season will begin on what promises to be a beautiful fall afternoon in South Philadelphia. Coming to town to pop the cork on Chip Kelly's second NFL season will be the Jacksonville Jaguars and the man who could have been the Eagles' head coach if not for Kelly. The task before head coach Gus Bradley and general manager David Caldwell was not easy when they took over reins of the Jaguars organization last offseason. After years of poor drafting, the Jaguars were left bereft of talent on both sides of the ball. Beyond overturning the roster, Bradley was charged with reinvigorating an organization that needed new hope.
Mosher's Mailbag: Kickers a concern for Eagles? - CSN Philly
There’s also the chance that Henery legs out Spear in the competition but is still replaced by a free agent. One name to watch: Rod Bironas. The veteran kicker was released in March by Tennessee after a pretty good 2014 season, just not good enough to cost $2.875 million against the Titans’ cap along with collecting a $250,000 roster bonus.

Twitter Mailbag: Is Dez a Top 3 WR? - ESPN
Here's my Top 3: Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall and Calvin Johnson. Fitzgerald might have slowed down a bit, but he remains a solid route runner and is one of the best at just snatching the ball. Marshall and Johnson are big targets who demand double teams. Dez Bryant is great at snatching the ball from defenders, and I expect his route running and his abilities to read defenses to improve. You saw last season he was able to make adjustments as the game progressed. He's a physical freak of nature, and he's tough and plays hard through nagging injuries. I expect another big season from Bryant.
