Eagles draft picks 2014: Do you approve of the Marcus Smith selection in the first round?

Andy Lyons

We know who the Eagles picked. Now it's time to overreact.

The Philadelphia Eagles did not surprise too many people when they traded down from No. 22. Howie Roseman moved the Eagles down just 4 spots to No. 26 in exchange for a third round draft pick from the Browns (No. 83 overall). People were surprised, however, when the Eagles' pick at No. 26 was revealed to be outside linebacker Marcus Smith of Louisville.

I wasn't sure how to feel at first. It certainly wasn't what I was expecting, but I think it's a rational pick. The Eagles definitely did need pass rushing help and Smith seems to fit what they want out of their 3-4 linebackers.

2) The reactions to the Marcus Smith pick were strong. A collection of the initial reactions from the Internet.

3) Why the Marcus Smith pick makes sense.

4) More reasons why Smith makes sense (from Tommy Lawlor).

Overreacting isn't just fun; it's mandatory. It's time for you to weigh in on why is this the best/worst pick of all time. Tell us how you really feel and vote in the poll below.
