This is most likely siding on the more hopeful side as far as mock drafts go but I'm feeling optimistic so I'll give it a go.
Round 1, 22: Anthony Barr UCLA- While many predict Barr could go in the top 15, I could see a hectic draft with all this talent and somehow hopefully Barr falls to 22. The Eagles have done their fair share of research on him and he'd be an exciting player to add to Bill Davis' defense and the pass rushing unit.
Round 2, 54: Allen Robinson Penn State- The Eagles get their wide receiver and I think get decent value too. It's realistic Robinson could slip in the second with this wealth of talented wideouts and he would be a good fit in Kelly's offense. With 27.6 percent of Robinsons catches last year coming off of screens and averaging 14.3 yards per catch, Robinson could be perfect for this team. I think Kelly could play him outside or in the slot and give him some room to make plays.
Round 3, 86: Deone Buccannon: I struggled between going with another linebacker like Christian Jones or secondary help and ultimately I thought bringing in a thumper like Buccanon could help this defense especially with some play making ability. He had 15 interceptions, and 7 forced fumbles at Washington State. He's also a hard hitter and the Birds could use some physicality on the defensive side.
Round 4, Telvin Smith: A solid linebacker to continue adding to the defensive corps. Could eventually help replace Demeco. Adding young talent behind this defensive line could help turn this defense into one of the tops in the league in the future.
Round 5, 162: Robert Herron: A smaller but more compact guy. Ran a 4.46 forty and runs the best routes out of any of the wide receivers in the draft in my opinion. I also thought he did great at the Senior Bowl and would be fun to have in this offense.
Round 7, 237: Colt Lyerla: Although it seems unlikely to add any type of players with attitude to the locker room, Lyerla could be late round gold if he can get it together.
Although it may seem wishful I hope it's somewhat realistic.
