Late last night, DeSean Jackson posted a photo on Instagram that suggested he has recently talked to Eagles head coach Chip Kelly. This is significant because all last week it was reported that the two sides hadn't talked since the offseason ended. It seems odd that the two sides wouldn't have been in contact given all of the speculation surrounding Jackson's future status with the team.
Now, several reports are confirming that Jackson and Kelly did indeed talk recently.
Source in DeSean's camp says Chip told him to not worry about anything, keep working, and be ready for camp. Not an ironclad no trade, but..— Les Bowen (@LesBowen) March 25, 2014

Short while ago a league source told me yesterday was 1st time chip and djac spoke since season ended. #thatcantbegood— Derrick Gunn (@TheRealDGunnCSN) March 25, 2014
So if these reports are to be believed, it seems like a pretty encouraging sign for Jackson's chances of remaining with the Eagles. At the same time, who really knows who's telling the truth at this point? Perhaps DeSean is staying after all. But these reports alone hardly confirm that.
Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will speak to the media tomorrow, Wednesday, at the NFL owner's meetings. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say regarding Jackson. Eagles GM Howie Roseman was asked about Jackson on Tuesday but refused to discuss him.
