On paper, Jackson joining the Jets makes sense for all involved if the Eagles plan to deal him. For one, it would entice former Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick into signing with New York. Jackson would also be in an even bigger market, which will not only help his marketability, but his rap career as well. The Jets also have plenty of cap space, so would Jackson likely avoid having to take a pay cut.
For the Eagles, the move would take Jackson out of the NFC and also get value for the player. Philadelphia could look for a mix of a player and a Day 3 pick, if the Jets balk on a Day 2 selection. At this point, it is unclear whether the Eagles want to keep Jackson, as reports have differed throughout the last month regarding the Pro Bowl player.
