Malcolm Jenkins: The Eagles needed safety help badly is this move makes sense. Many fans are upset that we didn't sign one if the top-tier safeties in Jairus Byrd and TJ Ward. The Saints paid Byrd way too much money so I am glad the Eagles didn't go for him especially considering they will want to add extensions to players like Boykim and Foles next year. Jenkins is an above average covering safety and can cover receivers in the slot. He is not very good at tackling but that can be fixed as we saw in Nate Allen last season. Overall, I think that this was a pretty good move.
Bryan Braman: Chip Kelly believes that special teams is very important so the addition of Braman makes sense. He is huge standing at 6'5 and is very tough and could get some reps in at linebacker.
Darren Sproles: Trading for Sproles was a great move by the Eagles. He is a great fit for the offense and will really compliment LeSean McCoy and take some of the workload off. He is also a great kick returner and will help in that regard too. He will add a lot of firepower to this offense and will help out the screen game. Basically all we gave up for him was Isaac Sopoaga and a 6th round pick.
Nolan Carrol: picking up Carrol was a great move especially considering how little we are paying him. He will come in and compete for a starting job. He will also add much needed depth to the cornerback position. He will be a great addition to the team and is pretty young.
Overall the Eagles have quietly done a great job during free agency. They addressed some needs and added some good depth. They still need an outside linebacker and probably another safety but they can most likely address that in the draft. I would give the Eagles an A- overall.
