Dion Jordan was picked third overall in last years draft, one pick ahead of the Eagles. Every fan was really excited for the Eagles to pick him until the Dolphins traded up to get him. He plays 4-3 defensive end for Miami, a role he is not built for. The Eagles run a 3-4 in which he would play outside linebacker. He is much more comfortable in a 3-4 defense and is familiar with Chip Kelly and his scheme.
It has been reported by Jason La Canforna that the Dolphins are open to trading him. Brandon Graham is an outside linebacker for us who is much more suited to play 4-3 defensive end. He is also a former first round pick who does not really fit in his defensive scheme. The dolphins could be interested in trading for Brandon Graham but the Eagles will most likely have to give up more than just him.
Many fans are saying that we should trade Graham and a second round pick, but I think that is too much. So, I was thinking that it could be possible that the Eagles trade Brandon Graham and Bryce Brown for Dion Jordan. Brown is our second string running back and in my opinion our third best running back and is not a necessity to keep on the team.
We have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Lesean McCoy and also have a good backup in Chris Polk who is a strong North-South running back. The reason the Dolphins would want Brown is because they need another running back in case miller gets hurt. Miller is not that good of a running back and they could use another running back in their rotation. Brown has shown flashes of huge potential in his rookie season so the Dolphins could be highly interested in him and BG.
I think that this trade would benefit both the Eagles and the Dolphins. I think that Graham has a lot of potential as a 4-3 defensive end. He is very talented at rushing the quarterback and the Eagles could highly benefit from Dion Jordan who has a lot more potential in our defense than he does in the Dolphins.
