Eagles vs. Saints 2014 Weather Report: It's Going To Be Cold

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

Dress warm.

Although there is no precipitation expected for Saturday night's Eagles vs. Saints Wild Card game, there's no doubt weather will still be a factor. Allow me to state the obvious: it's going to be cold. OK, so maybe not as cold as it is in the frozen tundra of Green Bay (expected temperatures in the negative 20s Fahrenheit), but still cold. Here's a look at the hourly forecast leading up to and after the game. Per weather.com:

Reminder that kickoff is at 8:10 PM EST.

As you can see, wind is not expected to be a major factor. The low temperatures are significant when it comes to the Eagles opponents tonight, who are not used to playing in the cold as often as the Eagles are. The Saints are a dome team that's expected to play in sub-35 degree whether, which isn't good news for them. Dome teams on the road in the playoffs are 3-22 in games where the temperature is under 35 degrees.

If you're wondering about the after effects of Thursday's snow storm, don't fret: Lincoln Financial Field spent many hours removing up to 2-3 million pounds of snow from the stadium complex (including seating areas, the concourse, the plaza areas and adjacent parking lots). The field has also been protected by a tarp and heating underneath from 28 miles of heat pipe, set at about 60 degrees.

So if you're going to the game tonight, dress warm. And be loud!
