NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Eagles take step back - BLG, BGN
Eagles dropped 3 spots.

Which Philadelphia Eagles players would Kansas City Chiefs fans take? - Joel Thorman, Arrowhead Pride
For me, it's DeSean Jackson. Yeah, yeah, Alex Smith isn't a deep ball quarterback but it doesn't matter. DeSean is one of those players who is so good that you just have to get him the ball any way you can. Sort of like Jamaal and the various ways he can get the ball.

Vick's Hot Start Going Under The Radar - Danta Klaus, PE.com
Vick and Jackson have connected an amazing seven times on pass plays of 60 yards or more during their four-plus years together with the Eagles. They are, without question, the league’s most dangerous, explosive quarterback-wide receiver combination.

Eagles CB Brandon Boykin is becoming a savvy playmaker - JimmyK, Philly.com
The forced fumble was particularly impressive because of the heady nature in which Boykin made his play. Boykin explained that earlier in the game, he observed that Gates was carrying the ball carelessly, and that he wanted to take advantage.

DGR – The Defense from SD game - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
The Eagles gave up 539 yards and 33 points. This was an ugly performance. There were multiple reasons for the problems. Right now everyone is focused on the Safety position, but there were issues beyond just that. I think you’re making a mistake if you try to pin this game on one player or position.

On Wolff, Allen And the Continuity Question - Tim McManus, Birds 24/7
The question is when Wolff will be prepared to take over the spot on a full-time basis. According to Chip Kelly, the fifth-round pick out of N.C.State isn’t quite ready for that workload.

Chip: Great respect for Andy - Les Bowen, Eagletarian
Eagles coach Chip Kelly addressed reporters Tuesday for the final time before Thursday's visit from Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Asked about the return of his predecessor, Kelly said: "I have great respect for Andy. If you're a coach in the NFL, anybody head coaches in one spot for 14 years, you kind of look to them and say, 'Holy Smokes!' If you just walk down these hallways and look at the championships, the division championships, the conference championships, what he's done, he's had a huge impact on this organization ... there's not a lot of guys out there in this profession that carry themselves, from a coaching standpoint, when you get a chance to be around them, like Andy Reid."

Like it or not, Andy Reid still part of the Eagles - John Gonzalez, CSN Philly
On Tuesday, Reid talked to the Philadelphia media once again, only this time his throat clears and familiar phrases were funneled through a conference call. He was asked all the questions you’d expect -- what kind of reception he anticipates and the attendant emotions involved and that sort of thing. His responses were classic Reid -- clear attempts to shift the discussion from the off-field storyline to the on-field proceedings.

"I think we’ll be all right," Reid said about coaching from the opposite side of the Linc on Thursday. "I’ll be able to find that sideline, I think."

NFL Power Rankings Week 3 – Broncos Still #1 - Steve Shoup, Fanspeak
After a huge Monday night victory, the Eagles had a letdown by losing to the Chargers in their home opener. Yes Philip Rivers was on a roll, but the Eagles have to play better defense to match their fast paced offense. Just like the Cowboys, the rest of the NFC East lost too so they didn’t lose any ground. But now they have a huge Thursday night match-up against former coach Andy Reid and the hot Chiefs.
