Michael Vick is expected to be the starting quarterback this Friday in the pre-season opener against the New England Patriots. The quarterback position is what most viewers will be eyeing come game time. But I wouldn't expect it to be one quarter back per quarter. Meaning, Michael Vick in the first, Foles in the second, Barkley in the third, and Dixon in the fourth.
I would expect and predict that Kelly would have Vick and Foles share series for the first quarter and have Barkely play the third and give the fourth to Dixon and Kinne. This way, you see what all quarterbacks bring to the table. We're only one day away from the pre-season opener and we don't know who the real starting quarterback is.
This isn't the first a situation like this has surfaced in the NFL. Last season, Seattle Seahawks third-round pick quarterback Russell Wilson was announced as starting quarterback a week before the regular season opener. It would not be mind-boggling to see coach Kelly swap quarterbacks in and out, as it would definitely show all of their tools and what they got to offer. It's been a intense training camp and we will soon find out who our starting quarterback will be.
