Looking at how often the Eagles 3-4 OLBs have dropped into coverage - Brandon Lee Gowton, BGN
Much has been made of the Philadelphia Eagles former 4-3 defensive ends (see: Trent Cole, Brandon Graham) transitioning to their new positions at 3-4 outside linebacker. Their new position requires them to do new things, such as dropping into coverage. It's obviously an aspect of the game where Cole and Graham lack (recent, at least) experience, so naturally it raises concern.

Boom roasted: A look at the warts of the 'other' NFC East teams, Washington Redskins edition - Jim Kempski, Philly.com
One strong possibility in this regard stands out for the Redskins. Alfred Morris had an absolutely tremendous season in 2012, rushing for 1613 yards on 4.8 yards per carry and 13 TDs. I'm certainly not predicting a dropoff as drastic as Babin's, especially since Morris is such a great fit for the Redskins' offense. Opposing defenses have to protect against RG3 on the perimeter, leaving the vacated middle of their defense ripe for a sledgehammer like Morris. However, as teams around the NFL adjust to the read option, Morris could be a player who is negatively affected... and it's not like Morris is some sort of special talent.

Eagles-Jaguars Cheat Sheet: 10 Things To Watch - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
The Eagles seem to have one safety position nailed down with Patrick Chung. The free agent from the Patriots played well against Carolina and already seems to have established himself as the best tackler in the Eagles’ secondary. But the other spot remains a mystery. This is an area where we likely won’t know who’s going to start until the days leading up to the Redskins game. Nate Allen will run with the first team to begin the game vs. Jacksonville. But Kenny Phillips (if healthy) or Earl Wolff could also rotate in.

Chip Kelly Update — The Eagles are Curing the Cement - Mark Saltveit, Fishduck.com
Chip Kelly got his first win, 14-9 against Carolina Friday, and answered a lot of the questions surrounding his radical makeover of the Eagles. Anxiety among fans and sportswriters turned into swelling excitement as the offense moved into high gear, showing a stout front line against the Panther’s powerful rush and demonstrating some of the deceptively simple flex-plays that Chip will run in the NFL.

Seahawks vs. Packers Final Score: Vince Young Impresses in 17 - 10 Loss - Jason Hirschhorn, Acme Packing Company
[Checking in with a former Eagle...] The backup quarterback situation wasn't all gloom and doom, though. Vince Young cobbled together a pair of long scrambles and some short passing, ultimately culminating in the Packers' only touchdown. Young still lags behind the other passers in terms of understanding the offense.
