LeSean McCoy sued over party bus incident

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

LeSean McCoy once again finds himself in hot water over his embarrassing treatment of women.

A woman has filed suit against Eagles RB LeSean McCoy claiming that he and his bodyguard assaulted her on a party bus trip to New York City in December.

TMZ has the details from the suit.

During the trip, the lawsuit alleges, McCoy, along with his bodyguard and a couple of other guys, began to spray some of the women with water.

Roe claims she protested the water spraying ... so McCoy ordered his bodyguard Big John to "get her." In the suit, filed May 10 in Philadelphia, the woman claims McCoy and/or Big John proceeded to hit her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

While she was on the floor, the men allegedly physically restrained her and poured a beverage onto her hair, clothes and body. And if things couldn't get worse ... the woman claims McCoy and Big John then forcibly ejected her from the party bus on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike.

The suit says that the bus did go back and get the woman only to then drop her off at a rest stop. The woman is asking for $50,000 in damages for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and negligence.

Who knows how much of this is true, but if the general facts are as the woman claims, it's a pretty shameful way for anyone let alone a famous NFL athlete to be acting. I suspect the type of ladies that were partying with McCoy on this bus weren't exactly librarians, but that's no reason at all to treat someone with so little respect.

Plus, a scary kind of pattern is emerging with McCoy in terms of how he treats women. I'm sure you'll remember back in late January when he got into an ugly twitter war with his son's mother and said some pretty nasty things. Again, she was certainly no saint, but it's fair to expect a guy who is 24 years old to be more mature than that.

After that incident, McCoy issued an apology in which he said,

"This is not who I am as a person, nor the image I ever wanted to portray of myself. It's definitely not the example I want to set for my son."

This party bus incident happened before the twitter war...but I would hope the sentiment is the same. This isn't an example any parent should be setting.

On a lighter note... I have to say, LeSean McCoy's life is Snoop Dogg's "Ain't Nothin but a G Thang" video. Only Death Row isn't the label that pays him... It's the Philadelphia Eagles and they have a much lower tolerance for this kind of stuff.
