Insanity

So in the recent post about RBs we had zero people say that Adrian Peterson's fumble problems were very similar to Brown.

Besides playing RB and having fumble issues, that is where the comparison immediately ends. It's like comparing a $1 latex-filled cheeseburger at McDonald's to a ground sirloin burger with grass-fed, organic beef with a high-end cheddar from Wisconsin or Vermont. Yeah the two are technically called cheeseburgers but that is where the comparison ends.

Here is Bryce Brown:

Here is Adrian Peterson:

Brown had two really good games against the Cowboys & Panthers and that was it. Here are his stats outside of those 2 games:

72 carries, 217 yds rushing (3.0 yards/carry), 0 TDs, 5 passes, 31 yards, (6.0 yards/reception)

Looks pretty pedestrian to me. He also struggled with blitz pickups/pass protection and didn’t contribute on special teams last year.

People on this board CONSTANTLY overrate Eagles’ players after a big game or preseason performance especially younger players. It’s laughable at times although my recent favorite either had to be Chaney after that game in Chicago or all of the ridiculous hype that Macho Harris got on here.

Brown is lucky if the Eagles draft a RB fairly high (say anywhere from the 3rd-5th rounds) that he makes the team and gets any kind of meaningful carries again this year.
