Home of the Mock Drafts

First and foremost, Happy Resurrection of Christ Day to everyone. Or for you non-religious heathens, Happy Easter. (and for the record, I fit into the second category far more than I do the first)

Hopefully, if you are like me, you will be spending more time with friends than family today, but I will save you from having to read my frustration with my own kind. Irritating is the middle name for every Clayton.

But, I digress and on to my point.

I have noticed that there are more than a few mock drafts in the FanPosts section and seeing how that is exactly what the section is for, I love it. Please keep them coming. I don't do a mock draft, but I love reading them from other BGNers. The amount of time you guys put into figuring out our picks is impressive.

However, I have noticed that with the multitude of FanPosts one of the unfortunate side effects of so many being posted is that FanPosts that don't get REC'D have a shelf life of only a few days, at most. And I don't know about anyone else, but when I put time into composing a FanPost, I really want it to be available for people to read and comment on. As much as I enjoy reading my own thoughts (and I do), I like reading other people's thoughts on my work a little more. Once the FanPosts get pushed out of the section on the Front Page, their exposure gets limited and as such, the member participation declines greatly.

So, I came up with what I thought is a great idea, and by "came up with" I mean I am stealing an idea from They do a single FanPost for people to post their mock drafts in the comment section thereof and that allows for everyone to post their mock drafts when they want but it also allows for fewer FanPosts and so all of their FanPosts tend to stick around longer and get more participation.

Which brings me to my long-winded point: Let's treat this FanPost like the Eternal Threads and use it as a central FanPost for all mock drafts. This way, we can extend the life of all FanPosts on the front page and increase the participation of the mock drafts by having them all in the same place.

If you agree, the get to rec'ing BGN and post your respective mock drafts below. If not, then I am sure this will go the way of the VHS and die a quick death.

Thanks for reading. Time's yours. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.
