Recently, the Philadelphia Eagles worked out Fresno St. safety Phillip Thomas. This 6' 1" ballhawk led the nation with 8 picks in which 3 of those were taken back or touchdowns. Thomas has also forced 4 fumbles this previous year and has 12 tackles for a loss wich is more than Dion Jordan (10.5) has drawn up this past year. In this year's combine he was not very fast with a 4.65 40-time. However his highlight tape puts to rest this issue. Though he is a ballhawk, he is known to have issues tackling running backs in the backfield (not the second level) cleanly. He sometimes bites on play actions to the opposite side. In a game against Colorado he recorded three picks and returned two of them back for scores.

He is projected to go in rounds 2-4. I would not mind if the Eagles spent a 3rd round pick for his services. Thomas suprisingly has always been low on the radar which would be great for us if we could snag him.
