Every year, there is a lot of buzz on mock drafts and players people want the Eagles to draft.
I believe the picks in the first 4 rounds have the most chances of being impact players, and I'm going to look at the picks since the 2004 season. Since that season, we have had 88 total draft picks, 43 of them in the first 4 rounds.
Reflecting on these, I don't think we took advantage of our picks, many have been busts and outside of our first round picks, we haven't really had a decent player step up besides the 2005,2006, and 2012 draft class. Now, if you look at teams like the 49ers, they built their team through the draft, on our current roster we have 32 players that they drafted, only 10-12 are projected to start which is a pretty good number but considering we were below par last year, it might not be a good sign. Although we had better drafts recently, who knows hows Chip will draft this next class. Also, with the exception of Jeremy Maclin, our first round picks have been spent on OL and DL, will this continue to be a trend or will we see something differently?
I'm curious to see how everyone thinks about our past draft classes and if you thought our drafts were good or bad.
