I am new here to this board. I get that. I have noticed a fair amount of negative posts toward other users. I recently called someone a negative nancy and that was overboard on my part.

I have to say I am not used to this though. I see people who seem to genuinely want to talk football getting attacked and also people expressing positive ideas and getting railroaded by users that seem to have nothing positive to say.

I get realism and debate but it seems that it is somewhat common that the principles behind both of those are not adhered to for this chat board.

A person who is excited about a football coach or team is not a bad person and doesn't need to be shot down all the time. It can be pointed out that they could temper their enthusiasm.

It seems to me that perhaps some people have had their enthusiasm tempered too much. Is this so that when the shit hits the fan they can say I told you so? Is there really anything wonderful in that?

I know I am going to get reamed for this post but so be it. A lot of the posters here are really nice and many are funny. The ones that are in attack mode are...disturbing. I love a board where people can make fun of each other and no one cares because everyone ribs each other. We need that here.

And lastly let me throw out the obligatory "If you don't like it go back to California/the big city!" I'm from Oregon and have heard/participated in that line most of my life. ;)
