Draft:
Eagles trade the pick #'s 4 and 131 pick to the Chargers (so they can move up to secure Fisher the OT they desperately need). We get the #'s 11, 47, 78
Eagles pick: 11,35,47,69,78,100, 165, 189, 216.
#11: Dion Jordan OLB
#34: Desmond Trufant CB
#47: Barrett Jones OG/C/even OT
#69: Cyprien S
#78: Da'Rick Rogers WR
#100: Kwame Gaethers NT
#165 Denard Robinson (read option in a wildcat package)
#'s 189, 216 are reserved for Talented PROBLEM CHILDS, who's off the field issues cause them to drastically fall down the draft board from where their talent suggests they be drafted
would also like to trade a player for a pick that gets us Datone Jones, not sure how feasible that would be tho
FA:
Franchise Tag DRC, keep him for 1 year as either a stop gap, or to prove he deserves a longterm deal
Bills can Franchise either BYRD or Levitre, not both..which ever doesnt get Franchised, I would love to see become an eagle..my guess is Levitre gets Franchised, so I will Mock Byrd to us.
Sign Jared Cook, 6'6 fast TE from the Titans, underachieved in many peoples oppinion. Change of scenery could serve him well. Big, Long Target to help Foles in the Red zone
Sgn OT Bushrod
Sign DT/DE Alan Branch courtesy of NJEAGLE (shouldnt be that expensive)
Sign versatile, Inexpensive LB Deandre Levy (shouldnt cost much)
Nmandi gets 4mil to go away, but we save 11mil..I would take a shot at Derek Cox, if his injuries cause him to be inexpensive
Only Eagles FA that I re-sign Colt Anderson(lead the special teams, and has gotten safety exp so I like him as a back up for the right price) and I would franchise DRC, to see if he can redeam himself after this past seasons debacle. Everyone else can walk. We need as many new backups as possible, because that is what will make up our Special Teams, which was putrid this past season..Thus, I dont want any of our FA back. Of course, we need to re-sign Dorenbos as well, he is soooo Money lol! "I tell him all the time "you dont even know how Money you are" lmao
Sign Matt Moore and Dixon... Foles gets next year to show us if he is the franchise guy or not. He either proves to be the guy, or we will suck and have a chance to draft a better QB prospect next year which is said to be stronger than the QB class of this years draft.
2013 Offense
QB: Foles, with Denard Robinson coming in to run the read option as a wildcat package
WR1 Desean
Wr2 Da'rick
WR Slot Maclin
TE's Celek and Cook
OT: Peters, Bushrod,Dennis Allen, Herremans
OG: Herremans, Scott, Mathis, Barret Jones, watkins
C: Kelce, Barret Jones
RB: Lesean and Bryce (main focal point of next years offense)
2013 Defense 3-4
DE: Fletcher,Cullen,Thorton, Alan Branch (courtesy of NJeagle)
NT: Dixon, Geathers (unless Gaethers turns out to be a hidden Gem, this position might need upgrading in offseason #2)
OLB: Graham,Curry,Cole, Dion(someone has to be good in coverage lol) Jordan
ILB: Dameco,Kendricks,Mathews,DeAndre Levy (courtesy of NJEAGLE)
CB: DRC, Trufant, Marsh, Boykin, Derek Cox
Saftey: Jon Cyprien, Jarius Byrd, colt Anderson(I re-sign for the right price), Kurt Coleman
Now, Im no capologist, so I dont know exactly how feasable this FA plan is..but If our roster looks anything close to this come september, I will consider OFFSEASON #1 in the chip Kelly era, a HUge success!
