Check out our 2013 Eagles mock draft central for more opinions on who could be the #4 pick in April.
Early on in the college football season, when Geno Smith appeared to be a God among men throwing 8 TD passes in a game, he was seen as the sure fire #1 pick in the NFL draft. But then West Virginia faded and Geno was only throwing 3 and 4 TD passes a game and suddenly mock drafters all decided to move on.
However, as the pre-draft process has progressed no other QBs have really distinguished themselves and mockers seemed to remember that QB starved teams with high picks are probably going to be targeting a signal caller... and the best one in this draft is still probably Geno Smith. So we've certainly seen a shift in sentiment towards the Mountaineer in recent weeks.
Of course, that may not be at all reflective of where he's been on actual NFL draft boards, where he probably hasn't moved much and has likely been fairly high on teams' lists throughout this process.

Turning to the Eagles, Geno Smith is not in the cards in our latest SBNation mock draft, nor is the most popular pick for them, Luke Joeckel. This time around, our mockers have the Birds grabbing OT Eric Fisher from Central Michigan.
Fisher's rise up NFL Draft boards is one of the bigger stories of the offseason. Once a fringe first-round pick, Fisher is now firmly entrenched inside the top 10. The Eagles gave up Demetress Bell last week and it may not be wise to rely on Jason Peters coming back healthy. Fisher fits Chip Kelly's offense, which requires offensive linemen to have good stamina and movement skills.
