The Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Cowboys on Sunday, 17-3. To add injury to insult, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles left the game with a head injury in the third quarter. Foles would not return to the game. Rookie quarterback Matt Barkley filled in for the injured Foles.
The Eagles wouldn't allow the media to speak to the second year QB after the game due to nature of his injury. Chip Kelly didn't give any insight on Foles' status in his post-game presser either.
He got hit in the head and he went to an independent neurologist, so I haven't gotten anything back from that. When we went to the independent they said he was out.
Philadelphia was already missing their starting QB in Michael Vick. Vick has been suffering from a hamstring injury that caused him to miss the past two (and a half) weeks of action.
Foles certainly did not play well against the Cowboys, finishing 11/29 for a mere 80 yards.
The extent of Foles' injury is to be determined. It's certainly something to watch closely.

Elsewhere, DeSean Jackson suffered an ankle injury vs. the Cowboys that forced him to leave but he returned to the game. Backup ILB Jake Knott, a special teams contributor, also left the game with a hamstring injury and did not return.
