Tale of the Tape: Eagles vs. Cowboys - JimmyK, Philly.com
The best player on either of these front sevens who will play on Sunday is Penn State product Sean Lee. Lee is a highly athletic player, who has the ability to drop into the deep zone of the Tampa 2 defense, and gobble up tackles in run support. Beyond Lee, the Cowboys are decimated by injuries. They are missing 3 starters along their defensive line (one was just cut), and are playing guys they picked up off the street is those spots. Jason Hatcher has been very good at DT for the Cowboys this year, but LB Bruce Carter seems to have taken a step back in the new scheme. That's not to say that the Eagles really hold a true advantage here, as they have struggled to get any kind of consistent pass rush this season. They have, however, done a good job against the run, giving up just 4.0 yards per carry. Fletcher Cox and Cedric Thornton are both playing very well for the Eagles, but again, the Eagles only get the nod here because the Cowboys are rolling into this game incredibly banged up in the trenches.

Dallas Talk - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Is everyone fired up for the Dallas game on Sunday? 1st place in the NFC East is on the line. I can say without hyperbole that this is easily the biggest game in the history of the Eagles franchise. I don’t have a good feel for the game. I was somewhat confident the last 2 weeks. Dallas is better than the Giants or Bucs, but I certainly don’t fear the Cowboys. They’re as flawed as they are talented.

Wulf's Den: 44-6, An Oral History - Bo Wulf, PE.com
Brian Dawkins: Our thought process was whatever happened in the other games, whether we were playing for the playoffs or not, we were going to whoop Dallas. Period. That's a rival game. We want to end on a good note as far as winning is concerned and we want to beat Dallas. Regardless of what happened in those other games, we were focused on making sure that we beat Dallas. I believe we lost to them earlier in the year on a game that we should have won, so we owed them that.

Barwin vs. Graham- The Battle for Snaps - Chip Wagon
A couple of things to breakdown here. One, Billy is telling the truth. By my unofficial count, the Eagles lined up in a conventional 4 man front to rush the passer 33 times against the Bucs. So Billy has responded with one half of the bargain. However, much to my initial chagrin...the personnel stayed mostly the same. I want Cole, Cox, Curry, and Graham. We saw it exactly once against the Giants (because Barwin was dinged) and we didn't see that grouping at all against the Bucs.

Cheat Sheet: Eagles Offense Vs. Cowboys ‘D’ - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
1. Nick Foles will make his second straight start, leading a unit that ranks near the top in many statistical categories. The Eagles’ offense is second in Football Outsiders’ rankings, behind only the Denver Broncos. The Birds are averaging 27.7 points per game (fourth) and have put up 67 in the last two weeks combined. They’ll be going up against a Cowboys defense that ranks 21st – both in Football Outsiders’ rankings and scoring (allowing 25.3 points per game). In their last outing, the Cowboys held the Redskins to 16 points for their third win of the year.

McCoy incident shows how Kelly is winning over Eagles locker room - Jeff McLane, Inquirer
That phrase - "to buy in" - is a nebulous one. But after five years in the locker room, when certain veterans, away from cameras and with microphones off, tell you they've bought in, you can tell what seems genuine and what seems fake. Three victories in six games - one fewer win than the Eagles had all of last season - has helped. So has Kelly's explosive offense, which appears legit enough to keep opposing defensive coordinators obsessed with stopping it. There will be trials, like last month's three-game skid, but Kelly has passed the sniff test and has the trust of the players as much as one can gather.

Deep In the Game: All 22 Breakdown of the Eagle’s Play Action Passing Game - Balls Deep Sports Blog
Lost in the blur that is Chip Kelly’s offense, is his commitment to an even run to pass ratio. Unlike other spread offenses that are predominantly passing offenses, Kelly not only runs the ball effectively but uses it to set it up passing game through play action. On Sunday, the Eagles proved how deadly their play action pass game is on a crucial drive in the fourth quarter.

A lot has happened since Eagles last won at home - Reuben Frank, CSN Philly
Since the Eagles’ last home win: About 142 million babies have been born worldwide. About 35.6 million commercial airline flights have taken off and landed. Wawa has sold about 73.5 million hoagies.

Podcast: In Foles We Trust – EaglesFanCast 152
Which quarterback should lead this team moving forward? Has Vick really lost the job, and has Foles really won it yet? Does there need to be a change, or should the Eagles think to the future and develop Foles into the future leader they think he could be? Right now there is no way to know what coach Chip Kelly is going to do. It seems that Vick is comfortable sitting until his hamstring is fully healed, and why not? Foles helped orchestrate a win over the Giants, and commanded a victory over the Bucs.
