Nick Foles named FedEx Air Player of the Week

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Foles is winning all of the awards.

One award just wasn't enough. After previously winning the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award earlier in the week, it was announced on Friday that Foles won another award. This time, it was for being the FedEx Air Player of the Week.

Foles completed 22 out of 31 passes (71%) and threw for 296 yards, 3 TD and scored on a running TD as well.  He finished with a 133.3 QB rating in the Eagles win over the Bucs. It was undoubtedly a great performance from the second year player.

The Eagles young QB has played well when he's had the chance. In a very small sample size, he has the second best QB rating (127.9) only behind the league leading Peyton Manning.

Unlike the NFC OPoTW award, this one is based on fan voting. Nick Foles - People's Champion.

Foles beat out the other two nominees, Andy Dalton (337 yards, 3 TD) and Cam Newton (242 yards, 3 TD), to win the award. Eagles RB LeSean McCoy was nominated for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week but was beat out by Packers RB Eddie Lacy.

Foles will start in place of Michael Vick against the Cowboys on Sunday.
