NFL Power Rankings 2013, Week 7 : Eagles Compilation

Where do the Eagles rank around the web?

Earlier today at the site I released my Week 7 NFL Power Rankings. But for some people, that's not enough, and what is only one opinion worth?

So here is a round up of how various media outlets have ranked your Philadelphia Eagles. Let's start by revisiting mine:

17) Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 21) - Philadelphia's offense is awesome but their defense is not. It will be interesting to see how the QB situation works out.

Ryan Van Bibber, SBN NFL

17. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles joined elite company this week, thanks to a 425-yard performance against the hapless Buccaneers. Chip Kelly's team has produced at least 400 yards for six straight games now. Only three other teams have done that, including the 2013 Broncos. Nick Foles threw three touchdowns, making it that much harder for Michael Vick to rejoin the starting lineup at a later date. Once this team gets a defense, big things are going to happen.

Tyler Drenon, Behind the Steel Curtain

15. Nick Foles has been solid (127.9 quarterback rating, 6 TDs 0 INTs) in relief of Michael Vick and the Eagles rushing attack is second-to-none, but they can't stop anyone. Even Mike Glennon had a good game against them in just his second career start...and he's part giraffe.

Jimmy Morris, Music City Miracles

16. Philadelphia Eagles

Tim Lynch, Mile High Report

19. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 25)

C Deveau, Revenge of the Birds

18: Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) Last Week's Ranking: 21

Well now. Nick Foles is making the argument to keep Michael Vick on the bench. A solid performance against the Cowboys could see that outcome happen.

Sam Spiegelman, Big Blue View

18. Philadelphia Eagles (3-3): The Eagles are tied with the Cowboys atop the NFC East. Is Nick Foles the solution? (LW: 24)

Kevin Nogle, The Phinsider

17. Did anyone outside Philadelphia realize they are one of just four teams in NFL history with 400+ yards of offense in each of the first six games of a season? (LW: 20)

One.Cool.Customer, Blogging the Boys

18. It may be a while before we see Vick starting for the Eagles again. Nick Foles went 22-for-31 for 296 yards and three TDs with a 133.3 passer rating. The Eagles win their first consecutive games since the two first games of the 2012 season. The Eagles play the resurgent Cowboys next for the sole NFC East lead. (LW: 23)

ESPN

17. A good day rushing opened up play-action for Nick Foles on Sunday. Foles was 9-of-12 on play-action passes, including a pair of touchdowns thrown deeper than 35 yards down field. (LW: 21)

Yahoo

18. Philadelphia Eagles (3-3, LW: 20)
I don't see any good reason for Chip Kelly to turn back to Michael Vick at quarterback. Nick Foles is better for the future, and probably better now too.

CBS

15. That offense is moving the football, no matter who plays quarterback. Should they stay with Nick Foles? (LW: 20)

PFT

14. Eagles (3-3; No. 20): Three years after Mike Vick supplanted Kevin Kolb while he was injured, Nick Foles could be doing it to Vick.

FOX

17.The Eagles have won back-to-back games for the first time this season and will host the Cowboys on Sunday. With a win, they will take control of the NFC East.

Analysis: The Eagles won so they deserved to move up again for the second straight week. They were awarded rankings from as high as 14 to as low as 19. It seems like around 17, which just so happens to be where I ranked them, is the right spot.

It's interesting to see that some of our experts took notice to Nick Foles' performance against the Bucs and weighed in on that discussion as well. The Eagles have a chance to leapfrog their higher-ranked divisional rival if they can beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
