Foles didn't disappoint. In an Eagles victory over Tampa Bay, Foles finished with the following stat line: 22 completion on 31 attempts (71%) for 296 yards, 4 TD (3 passing, 1 run) and a 133.3 QB rating. Also, no turnovers. Certainly a good showing against a highly-rated Buccaneers defense.
Naturally, Foles performance has some questioning whether he should be the starter instead of Vick when healthy. So what did Chip have to say about the Eagles quarterback situation after the game?
"We'll evaluate everything. We'll go back and watch the film."
Not exactly revealing, but it's interesting that the Eagles head coach didn't rule out a change at quarterback. After last week's win over New York, Kelly reiterated that Vick was the Eagles starting QB when healthy. Today, he didn't give Vick that same vote of confidence.
When asked if Vick is the starter when healthy, Chip responded:
"I don't deal in hypotheticals"
The truth is Kelly isn't ready to make a knee-jerk decision right now. He will take this week to review Foles' performance and monitor Vick's health status.
This situation will certainly be interesting to watch moving forward.
