2013 Philadelphia Eagles Draft Selections

Assuming we transition to a 3-4 defensive scheme in 2013, and assuming we are relatively quiet in free agency, which I believe we will be, here is what I believe we might do in the draft:

Trade:

Trent Cole to the Atlanta Falcons for their 4th Round pick

Draft:

1-Eric Fisher-OT-Central Michigan

2-Brandon Williams-NT/DT-Missouri Southern

3-Nico Johnson-ILB-Alabama

4-TJ McDonald-FS-Southern California

4 (Atlanta)-Jonathan Cyprien-SS-Florida International

5-Michael Buchanan-DE/OLB-Illinois

6-Brandon McGee-CB-Miami (Fla)

7-Braxton Cave-C-Notre Dame

7-Mychal Rivera-TE-Tennessee

I realize that this draft leaves us with little change at the Conerback position, but I do forsee Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha returning to the team next season. DRC will be back on a new deal, while Asomugha will return with a restructured deal. Whether or not Asomugha lasts longer than the 2013 season, I do not know, but I do know that he does possess talent and Chip Kelly, and the new Defensive Coordinator, will want to see what they can do with him. I also expect a good year from, both, Brandon Boykin and Curtis Marsh.
