So this came up in the Cardinals discussion thread and I thought it deserved some discussion Against the Browns, RBs averaged 2.1 yds/carry. WRs and QBs averaged 20ypc. Comes out to an average of 4.5ypc. Against the Ravens, Rice was the one who hurt us. He rushed 16 times. For 15 of those runs he averaged 3.7 ypc. Then he had a 43 yarder. Comes out to 6.2 ypc. Four runs — only one of which was a RB carry — gashed us for 103 yards. Other than that we’ve been stellar. Stats don’t tell it all. To add to that last stat, outside of those 4 rushes, teams have rushed against us 39 times for 107 yards — 2.7 ypc. Obviously you can’t just take out the big runs, they happened. But this team has been very good against the run on 91% of their plays.
