The Giants travel to Carolina tonight in what should actually be a pretty interesting Thursday night matchup. Its a short week for both teams, but that's usually tougher on the visitors. It could be doubly true for a Giants team that comes into this game beat up and missing at least 3 starters.
Tonight will also, as funny as it sounds, be a lot of Eagles fans first look at Cam Newton in the NFL. The Panthers weren't a team on national TV much last year (at all?) but thanks to his breakout rookie season they'll be getting a couple national audiences in 2012. One of those will be a Monday night against the Eagles in late November. So there's a chance to do some advanced scouting on this Carolina team as well as obviously the Giants.
