Often times when we are discussing play calling I see comments about quicker plays like 3 step drops, slants, screens, ect. But is Vick just too short for these plays? In front of Vick 6'0 we have Dunlap 6'9, Mathis 6'5, now Dallas Reynolds 6'4, Watkins 6'3, Herremans 6'6, and thats not even counting the D-line coming at him with their hands up. And Vick throws side armed which makes his release even lower than lets say Drew Breese who is also short. How is Vick supposed to throw over this wall without time to create space?
Some of the more successful screens that Ive seen were to Celek (going back to last year), but it seems when we try a screen to Mccoy once we let the defense through, again Vick cant throw over them to get Mccoy the ball. Of course I would love to see us throw more slants and screens like Foles was able to do during the pre season but I think Vicks strengths are rolling out and creating space. Feel free to correct me if im wrong.
