Predicted Scores Make Gamedays Suck
Especially when we have wonderful predictions (last week) but end up not doing as well or losing. It makes us feel like shit and tension builds up the whole week. I never look at the espn and nfl predictions cause they just set my standard rather than me setting my own standards. I suggest before gamedays we should predict game trends and maybe breakout players. It would make it more interesting rather make us bite our nails over these ridiculous scores. I feel that should be the core of this community. I dont know about you guys but I felt like shit after watching sunday partly cause of all the scores that were predicted. I felt more peturbed about rather than analyzing the plays and gameplay. We had expectations for a match in which we had never seen either teams (preseason and tc is no substitute for a real game) which fired back on us this whole week. We are BGN not espn and nfl.com. We talk eagles not numbers. What should make us pissed is blownout games and flat out bad gameplay. We should be able to predict game trends offense and defense to make it more interesting for such a dedicated fan base. Scores undermine the complexity of predicting the game as shown be the Gianst and Cowboys game (espn’s "analysists all got it wrong) making dallas look like a monster (or redskins and saints game). Espn would never predict based on reason other than “Super Bowl Champs” rather than analyze all aspects of both teams, wr v wr comparisons etc. Please everyone consider this (and JasonB). I suggest a friday post for position comparison, game expecations (high low) and maybe some other stuff but please for god dont just write some post or comment about scores of the top of your head. It is not what BGN is about. If you disagree, ask anyone how they came up with their scores and they will stutter. They dont even know the matchups and gameplans yet they are able to find the result so easily. How? I know this may be an exaggerated view but truthfully i read iggles blitz and bgn for its amazing analysis and POV's. Made up scores undermine the website and our fanbase.
Game score predictions can make one disappointed, undermine the complexity of this game and the quality of our community. I suggest that we stop predicting scores as it is simply disturbing to view and makes us more paranoid, and rather have posts with position comparisons, game analysis, player insight and maybe something which gives more credit to the game and make this website unique.
THIS IS BGN NOT YAHOO, ESPN, or NFL.com
