As a form of resident Australian at BGN, I have to thank you guys for the news you provide me on my favourite team. The news, views and opinions really make this place great for a guy like me on the other side of the world.
However, something else got my attention recently and I want to know your opinions on this. The thing in question is that the Australian Football League, a separate sport from Rugby or the NFL, has put together a nifty little promo to try and poach players from out of your college programs for our game. Check it out:
AFL USA Combine - August 2012 (via BigPondAFL)
My question to you is quite simple: What are your thoughts on this? Is it good for both parties? Should we go back to making throwable sticks that return to you?
Remember that players like Matt McBriar, Ben Graham and Sav Rocca all started out in the AFL before coming to the big leagues in the NFL. Are there any players that might make it good over here in Australia?
Feel free to ask away on questions as well, I'm always here even if I'm not the most well-known member.
