I had to come out of retirement for this one. I've read soooo many different rosters, but they all ignore some basic NFL rules. We have to account for the 46 man active game day roster, and special teams. Also we must factor the fact that some players are safe to be on your practice squads while others will be lost to other teams.

This is what I have for the final 53

Notice, I included 4 RB. This is because we can only have 46 players active during game day. So, 7 guys will not even suit up. You will notice, I left Brown as inactive during game day. This is because Polk can contribute more to team now, he plays special teams and can help on short yardage. Even though Brown has more upside. We can view Polk as a special teams contributor who jumps in for a play or two. You still have Lewis as a backup RB, and Brown is still on your roster, and will learn. Keeping Polk doesn't hurt your team, rather he due to his special teams skills, he can still help.

Keep in mind that you can hide some of these guys on the practice squad. Guys like Rau, and Hall aren't going anywhere. And truth be told you need a certain number of positional players every week regardless of positions just to play special teams.

Look at it this way.

Polk > Hughes, this is because they both play special teams, and Hughes has less chance of entering game than Polk. And if an injury occurs, you can sign a guy like Cliff Harris of your practice Squad. So keeping that other back doesn't hurt.
