Undefeated in the pre-season

Does an undefeated preseason lead to a winning record in the regular season? A few stats to consider… Historically 66% of the teams that have finished the league preseason schedule undefeated, have gone on to have a winning record in the regular season. Since the NFL went to the traditional four-game preseason schedule in 1978, 57% of the teams that finished the preseason undefeated, have gone on to have a winning regular season record. Since 2002, 47% of the teams that finished the preseason undefeated, have finished the regular season with a winning record.
