For the second straight week, Michael Vick left a preseason game after two series injured. Luckily, for the second straight week, the x-rays came back negative.

Vick took a vicious shot straight to the ribs from Patriots LB Jermaine Cunningham. See it here.

And yes, that's Todd Herremans haplessly chasing the defender who takes a free shot at Vick. Judging by the reaction from fans and media, any hit Vick takes is 100% his fault... But in this case, I can't agree. Evan Mathis allowed pressure up the middle immediately after the snap, Vick retreated back to avoid the pressure and was crush by Cunningham as he too ran free.

Really tough to see where Vick had any chance to get down or throw the ball away there. Either way though, the good news is that he's going to live to fight another day. Given the pain he was in and how nasty that shot was... I'm shocked the x-rays were negative. But happy nonetheless.
