According to the Eagles FO, this upcoming game against the Patriots will be the dress rehearsal for the regular season, which typically does not happen untill preseason game three. I will look at this game in a few specific areas: The Eagles secondary, the rhythm on offense, as well as the issue regarding the LT position.
I was impressed with Mychal Kendricks during thursday's game vs the Steelers, but I am sincerely hoping Demeco Ryans can step up and deliver some huge plays as well. I have read that King Dunlap will be starting at LT. This concerns me in the slightest way.
Dunlap is very athletic, but due to his size and height, he is not very mobile. Michael Vick and the starters struggled to find their rhythm against the Steelers, so you can bet I will be keeping an eye on them as well, especially concerning Vick being consistent and remaining in the pocket.
The depth at running back is something I personally find to be very exciting. Watching Dion Lewis in training camp was a spectacle to behold. Not only that, but I would love to see who makes the cut between Bryce Brown and Chris Polk. All in all, I think it will go: Mccoy, Lewis, Brown.
The backup quarterback situation is certainly worth mentioning too. Edwards did a nice game finishing drive, which is something this team needs to learn how to do after Mcnabb failing that part miserably. We all know how Foles absolutely rocked the joint, and there is no need to mention Kafka. Throwing an interception that never should have happened doesn't exactly win me over. Please answer the poll I have attached, I would like to know what you are keeping an eye on as well.
This is my first post, please tell me how I did. Thank you very much.
