I recently noticed one of your members, KJ Brophy, posted up an "Ask a.." thread in case us pats fans had any questions regarding your Philadelphia Eagles. Though we normally put those up during reglar season games, I feel it would be rude not to post an as a thread ourselves over here as well. Not to mention preseason is a relatively good time to get to know some rookies, or any standouts in camp.

I'd like to first give my condolences to Andy Reid, his family, the organization, and it's fans for the passing of Andy Reid's son. One of the most tragic news in recent memory.

Just a small over view of what happened on our side in our first preseason game.

The OL performed below average overall, and it remains a question mark. With the OL performing the way it did, the offense overall didn't do much. The only bright-sides were our two young RBs, Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen, both putting up impressive debuts.

Speaking of impressive debuts, the defense was the star of the night. Our 21st overall pick Chandler Jones, was essentially destroying the saints LT Bushrod, making him draw back to back holding penalties and even getting 5 pressure in about.... 15 snaps. The front seven, including Dont'a Hightower, snuffed the Saint's run game, and along with the secondary held Drew Brees to a mere 4 yards, him completing only 1 of 4 passes. But he was only in for a couple series. Our two starting safeties, Gregory and Chung, also picked up INTs, and McCourty looks to be back in 2010 form.
