Is Training Camp for the fans or for the team ?

Half of the teams in the NFL have Training Camps that are closed to fans, and the other half like the Eagles, welcome the fans. It made me think, would it be better for the team if TC was closed to fans so they can actually focus on football without any distractions. Although this is great for the fans, I would think the team would benefit from having some privacy. If I recall correctly, both the Giants and the Pats have TC where fans are not allowed, please correct me if I'm wrong. I wonder how many of the last few SB winners have TC open to fans and how many fall in the other category. And would you as a fan, give up the opportunity to go to TC if it means that it would benefit the team to have a TC closed to public ?
