Every half year I review and publish the user stats over on Blogging The Boys. I do this primarily to publicly recognize blog members who've made significant contributions to the site, both in terms of quantity and quality. While doing this, I often do the same thing for the other NFC East sites, out of curiosity more than anything else.

After the break, you'll find the BGN user stats for the first half of 2012. While I'm familiar with a number of your members, I don't spend enough time in the FanPost and FanShot sections to provide relevant/witty/snarky commentary on all the individual members and their contributions to the blog. So I'll leave it to everybody here at BGN to make of these numbers what they will and provide the appropriate commentary.

The point of this post is to highlight the effort some of the BGN members have put forth to make this a site you like to come to for Eagles news, analysis and commentary. The point is not to compare BGN with the other blogs. But if you must, you can find the 2012 BTB stats here and the 2012 BBV stats here. And now, without further ado, the topline 2012 stats for BGN so far.

• Over the first six months of 2012, the BGN front page team brought you 765 frontpage posts. This does not include FanShots posted to the front page (they do not show up in the archives for technical reasons). Jason alone accounted for 690 of the posts this year.
  
• 208 BGN members wrote a combined 413 FanPosts from January through June 2012.
• The FanShot section on BGN may be one of the most active in all of SBNation, with 211 BGN members posting a total of 1,112 FanShots in the first half of 2012.

You may not fully appreciate this, but 690 posts in six months is a heck of a lot.
