Eagles Sign Receiver Away From Philadelphia Soul

Stay connected for news and updates

With Training Camp less then 3 weeks away, the Eagles are starting to add training camp bodies.

Philadelphia Soul Wide Receiver Anthony "Tiger" Jones signed with the Eagles this morning according to Ed Barkowitz of the Philadelphia Daily News.

Jones, who leads the AFL with over 2,000 receiving yards this season, was briefly on the Washington Redskins training camp roster in 2010. He played under Bobby Petrino at the University of Louisville.

Needless to say, Jones is a long shot to make the team.

Jones had to leave the Soul just 2 days before their first round playoff game, which raises the question:

Should Jones play with the Soul until training camp begins and risk injury, or did he do the right thing by leaving right now?
