The Eagles announced a few minor transactions on the day rookies and selected vets are set to report to training camp at Lehigh. First, they traded CB D.J. Johnson to the Colts for DT Ollie Ogbu. I can't say as though I've heard of either player, but the Eagles did did get the far better name in the trade! He was a 3 year starter at Penn State.

They also signed Temple product Kee-ayre Griffin, a two year starter at CB after switching from RB in his sophomore season. He had been given a tryout at the Eagles rookie minicamp earlier this year.

Finally, the roster reached 90 when the Eagles officially signed WR Anthony "Tiger" Jones, who last played for the Philadelphia Soul. Jones, who is 30, has played in the Arena league since 2008. He's obviously a long shot to make the roster, but if he does make some waves in camp, it could be some real Vince Papale type stuff. Good for him.

Andy Reid is holding his training camp opening press conference as we speak. More on that later.
