Jordan Raanan handicapped the starting battle at weakside linebacker the other day. Today, he did strongside linebacker. There were some questions about why certain players weren't in the running at certain positions. So Jordan decided to only include players at the primary position they were being used at during the ongoing Organized Team Activities (OTAs). Of course, if something happened to DeMeco Ryans, the likelihood is that Jamar Chaney would shift to the middle. But as far as starting assignments go, the likelihood is that you're only going to win the job at your primary position.

So here's the three-deep linebacker depth chart Jordan put together from the early-June OTAs:

Weakside LB (WILL) - Brian Rolle, Jamar Chaney, Keenan Clayton (injured)

Middle LB (MIKE) - DeMeco Ryans, Casey Matthews, Greg Lloyd

Strongside LB (SAM) Mychael Kendricks, Akeem Jordan, Moises Fokou
