This was noted in the fanshots earlier this week, but the NFL announced that it will now add coaches tape for every game from 2009 through this coming season to their NFL rewind package. You can get it on NFL.com for $69.99.
The coaches' film gives you the top and end zone views, which are rarely, if ever seen while watching a game on broadcast TV. Typically, on TV, you get that shot condensed on the lines and the QB, and then just follow the ball. The coaches tape gives a view of the entire field and lets you track what every DB,WR, and is doing in a given play. Before now, you'd really only see those guys if the ball came near them or if an isolation replay was shown.
So for $70 a year, anyone with a computer can now comprehensively break down every play and every player for every team in the NFL.
Needless to say, we will be getting ourselves a subscription here on BGN.
Out of curiosity, if I started the subscription now, what specific players/games or players in specific games might be most interested in reading a breakdown on?
