It's a pretty slow Sunday as far as Eagles news goes, so I figured we'd do a quick look around at some of the notable national media to hear what they've been saying about the Birds.

In his "Sunday Blitz," Dan Pompeii says he hears good things about Michael Vick.

This is the first time Michael Vick has had an offseason as the Eagles starting quarterback, and he is determined to take advantage of it. Vick, according to those who know, has been first in, last out at the NovaCare Complex. After accounting for 18 turnovers in 13 games and enduring a disappointing season, Vick wants to make sure he is in prime physical shape and in prime mental shape and is working hard on both fronts.

CBS Sports' Len Pasquarelli reports that Bobby April has liked what he's seen from rookie CB Brandon Boykin on special teams so far.

Eagles special teams coordinator Bobby April, whose club ranked only 31st on kickoff returns and No. 28 on punt returns in '11, has been impressed by rookie Brandon Boykin in workouts.

The former Georgia star and fourth-round draft choice, who is the SEC career leader in kickoff return yards and had four kickoff runbacks for touchdowns in his career, may be slotted to handle both chores for the Eagles.

In their first fantasy mock draft of the season, FOX Sports has LeSean McCoy going #5 behind RBs Arian Foster and Ray Rice.
