Jim Washburn was a fan of Brandon Graham coming out college, as most NFL people were. However, when he inherited Graham last season, he didn't see the same the player he liked at Michigan.

"The guy we got last year was a guy whose confidence was shattered.," Washburn told the Eagles website. "He was coming off a pretty serious injury."

But this year, Wash sees a new Brandon Graham and has called him a "totally different guy."

"I think it's physical and mental. He's 20 pounds lighter. He's not the tallest, longest guy ... he's lost weight, he looks better. Every time I hear something in the weight room, it's 'Brandon Graham, Brandon Graham is doing this. ... I can tell this, though: He's about 10 times ahead of where he was last year."

Graham has certainly shown up with a new attitude this year. Not only does he look notably slimmed down and more muscled, but he's clearly got a chip on his shoulder as evidenced by his comments at the start of OTAs.

"I haven’t (done) nothing really," said Graham "Right now, I’m a bust, so I’m going to deal with that. I’m a bust and I’m going to keep being a bust, even when I make plays, I’m going to still act like I’m a bust, you know what I’m saying?"

A healthy, svelte and angry Brandon Graham coached by Jim Washburn could be a very good thing for the Eagles this season.
