Im trying to figure out why the Eagles were so urgent to trade Asante Samuel before the first round of the draft. I know they wanted to unload him to free up cap space and they wanted some value for him . However i just dont understand why they hurried this past week to unload him and all they got back was a 7th round pick. Is there a possibility that the reason they traded him is because there going to try to trade up and pick someone like Morris Clairborne or Mark Barron? i know it would cost a bit to move up to get Clairborne, but i just cant understand why the eagles wouldnt sit and wait till the first round is over and try to trade Asante for better value considering all they got was a 7th rounder unless they plan to do some major shit tonight.
Ps im bad at spelling and grammar and i think everyone realizes this by now, so comments on post only please
